7-9th Grade

Dear 7th-9th graders! To be successful in your high school career depends on your study methods, your discipline, and the amount of time you have left before college. Consider creating study habits that will best help you do well in your classes this year and later on. The more you get used to your methods, the better student you'll be in high school. I've given you this website as a gift; use my advice wisely. My website is completely flexible, and you can use any of my suggestions the best way it applies to you.

7th/8th grade: Use your extra time to read books, do hobbies of your interest, and be involved in activities outside of school. For instance, consider taking french classes, art classes, creating a study group, or even practicing any sport of your interest. Extracurriculars make a difference in your college application by showing admission officers your skills and potential through these activities. You want to be unique, but most importantly, be YOURSELF. Take note that when applying, it is stronger to show your qualities than just saying them. Show your strengths through these activities rather than just writing them down on a piece of paper.

Key Points:

  • Try new hobbies and extracurriculars

  • Create new study methods

  • Read books
